An exhibition dedicated to Paulo Mendes da Rocha will take place in May 2023, in the exhibition room of Casa da Arquitectura.
In the entrance space, a plasterboard panel is foreseen as the respective support structure, where the name of the exhibition and the respective technical sheet will be engraved and which gives access to the entrance to the room.
In the large nave, two new plasterboard walls, raised 50 cm from the floor, located at the tops of the enclosure.
A large table occupies the central axis with two intersections. It is intended to house the original PMR designs from the Casa da Arquitectura archive and other collections, as well as small study models. The table will also be enclosed in glass and inside it is planned to install elements in silica to control humidity. The modular support structure in aluminum is lowered, in order to make the wall lighter. Perpendicular to this table, several tables will be distributed for models and thematic episodes, adjustable in height and with wheels, as well as in gray mdf and stainless steel structure. There will also be some baseboards that will serve to expose some furniture, and in this case they will be close to the floor and the peripheral wall.
The peripheral walls parallel to the large table will serve as a support for the projection of 12 films and presentation texts.
The lighting will be done in such a way as to reduce possible reflections, highlighting the drawings and models.
